How to Replicate Notification Behavior

Learn how to manually adjust the application to match notification conveniences in the app

An app notification is a message sent by the Operate mobile application to your device to highlight important updates, reminders, or actions that may require your attention. These notifications help you stay informed and respond quickly while you work throughout the day.

When the user taps a notification, the application opens up to the relevant screen and the selections on the screen are modified to provide the view associated with the notification.  These are considered user conveniences, but the user can manually accomplish the same thing without a notification being sent or activated.

The table below outlines all of the notifications that are sent and the manual steps needed to accomplish the same thing.

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select My Properties quick filter
  3. Select Need to Visit quick filter
Beginning of Day (default 6:30am local) Crew Leader/ Foreman

Purpose
Reminds Crew to review which Properties have tickets that are past due or due today

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Need to Visit quick filter
Arrive at Property Account Manager

Purpose
Notifies AM of arrival on Property and provides quick navigation to associated Issues

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Property where user is located
  3. Select Issues
Arrive at Property Crew Leader/ Foreman

Purpose
Notifies Crew of arrival on Property and provides quick navigation to associated Issues

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Property where user is located
  3. Select My Issues quick filter
Assigned Urgent Issue Crew Leader/ Foreman

Purpose
Notifies Crew that an urgent Issue needs their attention

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Urgent Issues quick filter
  3. Select Property where Issue is located
  4. Select Urgent Issues quick filter
  5. Select Issue
End of Day (default 4:30pm local) Account Manager

Purpose
Reminds AM of Issues that were closed today on the Properties that they manage

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Crew Activity quick filter

 

End of Day (default 4:30pm local) Crew Leader/ Foreman

Purpose
Reminds Crew to review and accept Issues that have been assigned to them

Manual Steps

  1. Navigate to Properties list
  2. Select Need to Accept quick filter
