How to Reset Your Password

Learn how to successfully reset your password through the browser or mobile application

Scope / Applicability

This procedure applies to:

  • All registered users of the Operate solution (see your Administrator to get registered)
  • Supported browsers: Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox (latest two versions)
  • Supported mobile devices: iOS or Android phone or tablet (see respective app stores)
  • Login URL: https://app.operate.ai

Prerequisites:

  • An active user account (see your Administrator to get registered)
  • Access to the email address used during registration
  • Internet connectivity

Symptoms / Problem Statement

Users must log in to access Operate functionality. Some users may see login errors due to incorrect credentials or expired passwords.

Resolution / Procedure

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Go to the login page
    Open your browser and go to: https://app.operate.ai/sign-in
  2. Enter your credentials
    In the Email Address field, enter your registered business email.
    In the Password field, enter your account password.
    If this is your first login, use the temporary password sent in the email with subject line “Your temporary password.” You will be prompted to create a new password.
  3. Click the “Log In” button
    After successful authentication, you will be redirected to your list of properties.

If You Forgot Your Password

  1. Click “Forgot password?” below the Log In button.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to receive a reset link via email.

Verification / Validation

A successful login is confirmed when:

  • You are redirected to the Properties page.
  • Your company or branch name appears in the upper-left corner.
  • No error appears (e.g., “Invalid email or password”). If you see an error, verify your email and password and try again.

Password Reset Compliance (Mobile App)

If your password reset fails before reaching the authentication service (for example, the Confirm button is disabled), the mobile app has detected that your new passwords are not compliant in one of these ways:

  • New passwords do not match
  • Tap the eye icons to reveal both password fields and confirm they are identical.
  • New passwords are not compliant
  • Ensure your new password meets all requirements listed above:
  • At least 9 characters
  • Contains at least 1 uppercase letter
  • Contains at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Contains at least 1 number
  • Contains at least 1 special character from:
    ^ $ * . [ ] { } ( ) ? - " ! @ # % & / \ , > < ' : ; | _ ~ ` + =

Once the passwords match and meet all requirements, the Confirm button will activate and you can submit your new password to the authentication service.

Note: The confirmation code sent by email is valid for 60 minutes. If it has expired, start the reset password process again to receive a new code.
